　　the earth is crying

　　“saving the earth” corrference, held in beijing. the subjects discussed at the meeting included pollution, population and protection of forests and wildlife. the conference urges the governments of all countries to talce necessary measure to get rid of pollution, to contor i population growth and to increase the tree-planting.

　　the conference told us how bad the environment about environment. for example: the water pollution.

　　water pollution is a serious problem threatening survival of human beings, plants and animals. nowadays, rivers, laces and even oceans all over the world are becoming polluted with garbage and dangerous chemical substances. factories contribute to the problem because they rely on rivers for disposing of wastes. gas oil and other chemicals can kill fish and make water unsafe for drinking.

　　noise pollution is also a big problem. it’s everywhere on the building sites around the airfields or in the factories. you’ll hear all kinds of noise in these places. as we all know. disco is very popular. and young guys like to listen to walkman. both of them are bad for our hearing. but it’s exciting and sometimes it makes you happy. so you’d better turn your walkman down.

　　and air pollution is one of the major problems in the modern world. a great deal of energy is needed to run the factories and of the modern industrial nations. automobiles, trains, airplanes n

　　eed energy, too. nearly all of which remain in the air, causing air pollution.

　　scientists are endeavoring to find ways to stop the air pollution. they spend a lot of fime doing a lot of things. they really want to solve this problem. however, if may be a long way for us to go before we have a “clean” world.

　　except these, we also have some other problems about environment. and what should we do? the earth gets dirtier and dirtier, the temperature gets higher and higher. the trees and the animals get fewer and fewer. and our mother –the earth is crying.

　　so come on everybody, don’t be lazy any more. let’s make a new world from now on! let’s plant more frees and don’t throw about. i believe, if we want, if we work harder, we will have a new world, a clean world, a beautiful world!

　　地球在哭泣

　　“拯救地球”会议在北京举办，会上讨论的问题有：污染，人口及森林野生动物的保护。它号召全世界人民保护地球，使它永远适合人类居住的家园。

　　这个会议告诉我们环境问题已日益严重，现在我们存在很多环境问题。例如：水污染，它是威胁人类，动植物生存的一个严重问题。现在，全世界的河流，湖水甚至海洋都被垃圾和有害的化学物质污染了。工厂由于将废物排进河里时，导致了这些问题，汽油和其它化学物质会杀死鱼类，同时，水也不能安全饮用。采用一些强力的措施，解决这个问题是当务之急。

　　噪音污染也是一个大问题，你可以在城市，飞机场或工厂里听到各种各样的噪音。我们都知道，迪士高非常流行，年轻人喜欢带耳机听歌，这都有害于我们的听力，但是它们会令人兴奋，并且有时可使你快乐。所以你最好降低它们的使用频率。

　　空气污染是当今世界最重要问题之一，工厂的动作及现代化工业国家都需要很多能量，汽车、火车、飞机和公共汽车也需要能量。几乎所有能量都是通过燃烧燃料生成，燃烧产生的垃圾，一些留在了空气中，造成了空气污染。科学家们正在努力寻找解决问题的途径，他们花费许多时间作了许多事，他们想尽力解决这个问题。然而，离我们达到一个“干净”的世界，还有一段很长的距离。

　　除此以外，我们还有许多其他的环境问题。我们该怎么做呢？地球变得越来越脏；气温变得越来越高；植物和动物变得越来越少。我们的母亲——地球在哭泣！

　　来吧！各位，别在懒惰了。让我们从现在开始，创造一

　　个全新的世界。别再乱扔，一起来种树……我相信，只要我们愿意，只要我们努力。我们就将赢来一个新的世界，一个干净的世界，一个美丽的世界！
